5 years ago... I honestly don’t know where to start. My heart is exploding with gratitude these past 24 hours. Broken Beauty book was released January 15, 2019. It all began with Jesus planting unexplainable, undeniable, and unimaginable seeds in my heart to share our story with the world. With complete surrender and trust, I walked by faith and followed His lead. This journey has been LONG. The lessons our family has learned through this horrible disease are invaluable. As my daddy texted me last week after a hard day with Mom, “I know Sarah, yet I know what she was willing to go through to show the love of Jesus. In her healthy thoughts, she would be thanking God for the opportunity. She IS special.......” 🥲 Mom’s passion was to share Jesus with anyone around her. I’m so thankful I had this opportunity to write a book and share just a glimpse into Mom’s heart and her world living with Alzheimer’s and all that God did for me as I’ve walked through some of the most difficult years of my life. I have SO many people to thank. My Father in Heaven, my earthly daddy, my siblings, our three precious children, my in-laws, and especially my AMAZING husband. Without Thad, I don’t know if I would be where I am today. My prayer warriors and best friends, you know who you are - the ones who have walked alongside me the entire way and continue to encourage me with their words, time, and effort and their intentional presence in my life.
