CHNGE x DREW 🫡 The time has finally come!!!!! My collection w @chnge is almost here. 🥹 I am so incredibly proud of this project, and so excited to finally share it w all of you. It’s been such a long journey creating this capsule, but I couldn’t have asked for a better partner than CHNGE. My Samoan heritage is a huge part of who I am, and I wanted that to be prevalent in my collection. The phrase “Women run shit”, is indicative of the experience I had growing up in a very matriarchal culture. And it’s a message I always want y’all to remember. Getting to showcase my Samoan family & partner, w men wearing traditional i’e faitagas & women wearing hakus, in this shoot for my collection honestly moves me to tears. Representation is so important in media. And getting to use my own loved ones to model my clothes, as proud Samoan people, is a bucket list item I officially get to cross off. This collection will be available for pre order, on the CHNGE website on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2:00 pm PST/5:00 pm EST!!!! FINALLY BITCH DAMN lmaooooo. And arguably one of the most exciting parts is 5% of each sale will be donated to @genderjustice ! A non profit organization who envisions a world where everyone can thrive, regardless of gender, gender expression or sexual orientation. They work to use an intersectional movement to create an equitable future, regardless of gender, through law, policy change and radical education.
