Changed up my training split about 6 weeks ago and I’m loving the results! All my lifts have gotten significantly stronger, I’ve been nailing my performance goals, and strengthening my mind/muscle connection. All while nursing a bum collarbone. I feel thankful that I’m having this good/healthy streak, because I know it can all go away at any moment. So I’m basking in it and celebrating for the moment 🎉That doesn’t mean I don’t have rough days in the mix. For example - I hit 60s for 3 sets on shoulder press, unassisted, last week. HUGE performance goal achieved. ::woooo yayyy 🎊::.... And then yesterday, 35s were ROUGH. Almost 50% less weight than what I had hit last week. However, it was 100% of what I was capable of giving yesterday under the circumstances. As I always say, give yourself grace, and be patient. Focus on what you CAN do, and not what you CAN’T do. Don’t let your frustration deter you and knock you completely off track. Know when you need to step back for an extra recovery day or 2, and come back strong. Oftentimes, we get caught up in constantly needing to make progress. But progress isn’t linear when you throw in every LIFE variable in to the mix. We get injured, we get sick, we have days we space out, we have days the music just doesn’t hit right, we have to work longer hours than expected, we didn’t get enough sleep, we had to train a different time than normal, we missed a meal, etc. It’s cool fraaands. Be gentile with yourself during those days ... and then not so gentile when you come back to annihilate your next workout 😈🔥😝🤘💪 Training / Nutrition: @revolutionizeusa Supps: @apollonnutrition code “Rev” Meal Prep: @eatcleanbro code “REV10”
