33 years after his arrest, Steven Lopez, the lesser known 6th defendant in the 1989 Central Park jogger case, has finally been exonerated. In a hearing on Monday, NYC’s District Attorney Alvin Bragg stated that Lopez had pleaded guilty under “immense external pressure” and “in the face of false statements”.
