You haven’t lived until you’ve motorbiked in South East Asia. Promise. 📍Bali, Indonesia 📸: by me on @dji_air2s @djiglobal I remember the first time I hopped on a motorbike. It was in Vietnam. The morning before, I was in South Korea visiting my sis @msrebeccac trying to figure out where I’d go before RR’s first group trip to Thailand. She told me that if I went to Vietnam, I could rent a motorbike and explore the country. Sold. I booked my flight the same day I flew out and was on a motorbike for the first time the next day. It was the most freeing feeling ever. Riding through views I’d only seen in movies, smelling foods I didn’t know existed, hearing languages I couldn’t understand even if I tried and feeling like every problem I had back home was so small in comparison to what the world had to offer me. That trip saved me. It made me face myself in ways I never had before and that’s why I love travelling as far as I can to places that put me the furthest away from my comfort zone. & why I’m so passionate about getting others to do the same. Here I am, four years after my first time on a motorbike, and my first time in south east Asia, in bali, doing what I love to do the most. Happy, free and feeling most like myself. If you haven’t visited anywhere in south east Asia yet, add it to your list. (Vietnam, Thailand, Bali - in that order.) I promise it will change you too.
