As a Coach, be Truthful with your athletes. Give them true Expectations. Don’t take away Dreams from them, but make sure they are also in Reality. Don’t Lie to them, to fatten your wallet. Certainly don’t give false Hope, if his/her Work Ethic isn’t on par with what it takes. Don’t Tell them, Speak to them. Don’t Avoid hard talks, Embrace those talks. Athletes already have a tough landscape. Especially if he/she want to play High Level after HS...sh!t even HS nowadays too. Sure as Sh!t I’m not saying baby them, BUT be on his/her side, and lead them. Be Genuine!!!!
