“Black Dawn Vanity” by Nicholas Devlin. "I made this vanity as a dark romantic surrealist dreamscape love letter to my mom. I named it after her too. Before marrying my dad her name was Dawn Black. She very much believed in all things metaphysical which made for a very rich and dreamy childhood in certain ways. As a young boy, I'd sit on the edge of her bed and watch her get ready for work at her own vanity. I wanted to capture the energy of that memory.
