Vogue World last night was way more than I expected. Not knowing what it was going to be but figuring at the very least it would be fun, it managed to far exceed my expectations. I spent my years in the modeling industry when there were few that looked like me, so much so that we all pretty much knew each other, castings were often times where we would find out who was in town. While I would have liked to have seen some of those women there, Karen Alexander, Kara Young, Veronica Webb or the others whose name like mine you might not know but who were none the less successful working models, it still managed to feel like a walk through my formative young adult years - only better. The multi generational and diverse choice of models was exactly what magazines & designers are representing now or should be striving for. Beautiful women of all ages. The music was seamless and right in step with the joyous celebratory tone of the evening. Bravo! 👏 I was told it was going to be the best event of fashion week when I arrived, and it did not disappoint. 💫
