ventured to bridgeport for @duckinnchicago and it was definitely worth the drive across town. this burger has been on my list for a while and im happy to report that it lives up to its reputation. swipe for the burger pics. ➡️
the up n’ over burger pays homage to the classic @innout burger style but elevates every part of the burger. the patties are extremely moist and you can tell they use a good source for beef. i will say, these are not crispy smash patties. they are slightly thicker which aids in them being so moist. the special sauce was out of this world. they really have a way with their sauces. the aioli served with their duck fat fries was hands down the best fry sauce i have ever had, period. the bun was super soft and home made. and last but not least, you have to add the fried duck egg. the addition of the duck egg does make this a $20 burger (fries separate) but it’s well worth the addition. the egg was cooked perfectly and really elevated the entire experience. the duck fat french fries with aioli were quite honestly the best i’ve ever had. typically, my go to fry is at @longmanandeagle but these felt one notch better and i don’t know if it’s because i wanted to bath myself in their aioli.
our group wanted to order the signature rotisserie duck so i was able to snag a bite of that and also pass my burger around the table. everyone was super impressed by the burger. the duck was fantastic. crispy skin, perfectly cooked thighs and breast. plus crispy duck fat potatoes served underneath.
overall, fantastic experience at the duck inn. our cocktails were kitschy and not something you experience every day. mid century modern vibes throughout which transports you in time. + our server, Peach, was lovely. thanks @duckinnchicago 💕🍔
if you’re in the area, go to @marzbrewing for a post dinner beer!
