My dad left us so suddenly. I still keep thinking that he’s just away on one of his fabulous vacations. He’d be “dining al fresco” (he loved saying that), drinking a glass of Sancerre and enjoying oysters on the half shell. He’d probably take a selfie and send it to me (or the family group chat), also just to give us a teeny bit of FOMO. My dad taught me so much. He was a brilliant scientist, a respected boss, a devoted spouse, an effortlessly cool dresser, a world traveler, a foodie, an arts connaisseur, a cinephile and a prestige TV buff, who was also looking forward to season three of Emily in Paris. I’ll miss you dad ❤️
