This shot is bittersweet for me. I’d just been series wrapped on ECHOES and was leaving set for the last time. During those weeks, I forged incredibly intimate bonds with one of the best film families I ever could’ve asked for. But at the end of it all, you go to your chair, pick up your jacket and your book and your coffee, and you walk off alone. You hope that the work you did will live on in some small, true way onscreen, but you know you’ll never have those moments with those people in the same way ever again. It’s heartbreaking and beautiful. And I can’t imagine doing anything else. (coming to Netflix - Aug. 19)
