I’m really grateful to be a part of so many small business (mostly female owned) that have kept at it throughout the years supporting independent designers and makers like myself. @wingonwoandco is one of those gem like stores that have been around for five generations, the oldest operating store in Manhattan’s Chinatown. It has this incredible feel to it in the way you’ve walked into a well loved home. This year my work is part of their annual ceramics fair hosting works by Asian American female ceramicists- please take a look if you’re in the neighborhood or online. The theme for this year’s fair was “the future of our community” so I focused on pieces that nested and stacked with one another, the way a family and community naturally does. Although a fair amount has sold there are still some pieces left - and if you have a chance please take the time to support this store and/or read about their W.O.W project, and their goals to sustain ownership of a rapidly changing Chinatown. Thank you @wingonwoandco and @studiomisch for the beautiful photographs!
