It’s been awhile since I shared something like this but I feel it’s always relevant. The coat on the left was made 2 years ago with marine vinyl and drafted from scratch to match the costume of Edgin the Bard from “Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves”. I was very happy with it at the time. Flash forward to this year when I needed a bard coat yet again for the D&D fun at Uni Fan Fest. This one I made using an existing pattern and then modified to fit my needs. You can see the difference in craftsmanship because I now had 2 more years of experience under my belt.
