Last year I took a leap of faith to work with the team of mad scientists @wndr_alpine to help contribute to the first ever boards built with bio-based ingredients by @checkerspot. To be honest, it was one of the scariest things I’ve ever done. There were maybe only one or two prototypes made by @therealfrothpuppy at that point. Equipment failure is not an option deep in the backcountry, and I was worried about testing new materials while still trying to push my riding. However, the main pull was the fact that these products are designed with the intention of reducing environmental impacts of snowboard & ski manufacturing the best we can. Well, after a full season of thorough field testing across every type of terrain and snow conditions imaginable, I’m proud to say we’ve arrived at a board that I can take anywhere and ride all season long.
