I wanted to post this earlier, but better late than never. This is from a series of portraits I shot of the recently deceased American author and political activist @barbara_ehrenreich._ If you don’t know who she is or haven’t read any of her 21 books or heard her speak, I suggest you do. This article was about her newish book, Natural Causes: An Epidemic of Wellness, The Certainty Of Dying And Killing Ourselves To Live Longer. We spent a morning together in her modest apartment in Alexandria, Virginia. She expanded my mind. I am grateful for the opportunities I get to experience because I am a photographer. She is also well known for her memoir of her 3 month experiment surviving on a series of #minimumwage jobs. She will be missed. We could use more people like #barbaraehrenreich in this world that seems to be more and more bombarded with brainwashing people, especially women into believing that they are not good enough just the way they are to age naturally and to earn a decent living and enjoy the basic freedoms that everyone everywhere deserves.
