A few posts ago I spoke about the passing of Paul Van Doren and I mentioned the original name for Vans was the Van Doren Rubber Company and the shoes were known as Van Doren shoes, so I searched deep into my skate collection and I dug up the two Van Doren shoeboxes I knew I had put away decades ago and I was fortunate enough to have found them. This shoebox design is from the late 70s and it is the shoebox that the Van Doren Rubber Company would use to ship me and everyone else their shoes.
