“As a Muslim girl born in Egypt and brought up in Italy, this moment was so important. People sometimes forget that Muslims exist in Italy, we are a big community fully part of the Italian society. I’m proud of my Egyptian blood and who I am. Fashion to me is not just clothes and not just appearance. Fashion is identity, fashion is political, fashion is activism. I believe that how we portray ourselves says so much about who we are and what we stand for.
