I run to remind myself that nothing can overcome me. Running is the one thing I am 100% in control of. Yes, running is hard, but life is significantly more challenging. The more I run, the more I get lost in my motion and the discipline required to enjoy the sport. I found the distractions around me helpful: The bikini-clad gals trying to get their beach selfies right, The ache in my stomach (WTF, there's a muscle there?), The 932 things on my to-do list. The distractions condition me, providing me with small doses of difficulty that train my brain and will for those awful moments in life that require all cylinders firing, a few glasses of wine, and your village to help you through. Before I knew it, running turned into a hobby, and I could feel the physical (hello, new clothes!!) and, more importantly, mental benefits.๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธRunning has become my moving meditation. New PR woohoo!! ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ #getahobby
