My dad left this world around 1 am east coast time and deserves a proper tribute I’ve said before that I’ve known so many different versions of him over the course of his lifetime. I knew him to be: a stubborn ass Taurus, a Deadhead, a Trekkie, an aspiring actor, a Ren faire performer, an elementary school teacher, a computer wiz, a graphic designer and talented visual artist (when he wanted to be), a musician, a party animal, and a natural born comedian-truly one of the funniest people you could ever come across. I can say with certainty that he never made me feel judged. I could confide in him about literally anything and never fear his reaction. I feel lucky that he was always 100% supportive and encouraging of my creative pursuits since day one. He always accepted me for who I am. Not everyone can say that about their parents. The past couple weeks have illuminated the profound impact he had on people’s lives while he was on earth. I was telling a friend last night that him and I shared a lot of little psychic moments; his intuition and uncanny ability to know certain things without me telling him would occasionally freak me out. One of the last couple times I saw him, he said something like “make sure all these other motherfuckers know that I knew you first.” I will miss him so much 4/30/67-7/30/22
