You might think all it takes is good music to be a successful artist... It's not true. If it was that easy, we would have wayyy more mainstream artists. There's so many talented artists and the main difference between each one advancing (especially as an independent artist) is their branding and marketing. For example, take two great singers. One dedicates 1/2 of their time connecting with their fan base through digital content. Intentional content that she KNOWS they like. The other artist records and drops a lot of great music but no one hears it because she has no online engagement with her potential fan base. 🤷🏾‍♂️ Good marketing and branding takes strategy but it's all quite a simple idea.
