Here’s 10 things every trainer (or aspiring trainer) needs to understand if they want to actually build something that lasts.
These are the fundamentals I tried to embody that took me from zero clients to where I am today.
Yeah, the formatting might be a little raw — but the value is very real.
Find your niche. Don’t train everyone. Be the go-to for someone specific.
Build an identity. You don’t need a logo, you need to be remembered.
Understand their “why.” Ask better questions. Connection > script.
Stay sharp. Knowledge is power — outdated coaching isn’t cute.
Know how to sell. Sales is service. Position your offer around them.
Protect your value. Don’t showcase premium service like it’s free game.
Network smart. Your next client is one introduction away. Move with intention.
Maintain momentum. Results start the journey — retention is the real art.
Practice what you preach. Don’t need to be perfect, but you better be consistent.
Lead with passion. If you don’t love this, it shows. So does the opposite.
If this helped you — cool.
If it triggered you — you prolly needed this.
Either way, save this or send this to someone you think might need it!
