the convenience of denial, (2 of 3) 2021
in my small opinion: we don't like to hold people accountable in America. we only like to "act" and "pretend" that we do. this allows concepts like "cancel culture" and "wokeness" to thrive. these concepts arent doing anything for the safety, protection and justice for victims and imprisonment of predators. infact, it enables them. infact, it allows them to hide deeper in their circle of lies and manipulation and leaves the rest of the populous lost, enraged and divided. we are now subscribed to repeat mantras that deep down we don't believe in. no one consented to this, it was pushed onto us via culture, media, and probably a series of very sophisticated intelligence techniques (that for another time).
ANYWAY i made three works on paper that recount cases where powerful people denied their relationship with jeffrey epstein and ghislaine maxwell, despite obvious proof that they had a relationship. when i was researching these instances, HOW people denied stood out. who, i already knew most, but how and why and the timing was especially peculiar. these people are sick. giving gmax a mediocre sentence is a very small, minuscule act that does not move the needle one bit on a global, deep, deep issue that will still, and is still persisting.
