Gaetano Pesce’s monumental Façade of the Aspen Art Museum was officially unveiled this week alongside his exhibition “My Dear Mountains” on the ground floor of the museum. Supported by the Italian Council (9th Edition, 2020), a program of the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Italian Ministry of Culture to promote Italian contemporary art in the world, the exhibition features furniture, drawings, and sculptures spanning 50 years of Pesce’s prolific career. Pesce’s outdoor intervention on the building is the artist’s first-ever project for a façade.
