The stand-out project at AHEAD Americas 2021 was the One&Only Mandarina, scooping three awards including best Resort, Landscaping & Outdoor Spaces and the coveted Hotel of the Year award.⁠ ⁠ Set along a costal stretch of Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit, the eco-resort is nestled amongst 33 hectares of rainforest, evoking “all the tranquility that one could desire.” It’s low-impact design is sympathetic to the environment and evokes a strong sense of place with “iconic moments throughout”. Judges agreed: “it feels like you’ve been transported to another place where you can be rejuvenated.”
