The very brilliant Kris Hallenga @howtoglitteraturd had me on her podcast recently and it’s been put out everywhere today. She’s a real inspiration and very lovely person. I definitely didn’t expect that the conversation would get so emotional, but that’s where it took us. It’s maybe quite an intense little clip to share on Instagram but after all, it is what ‘It’s Always Summer Somewhere’ is about, and there are parts of our conversation which are particularly unguarded and honest which is quite a rare place to get to. Also, it was nice that she doesn’t care about cricket at all but understood exactly where the book was coming from. I was hoping that would happen when I wrote it.
