Movie has very bad pacing. Moves so quick and never establishes relationship between characters or the viewers. You never connect with the protagonist. You just looking at a movie. Movie starts very quick. It's like they had to shorten it to reduce the movie time. Movie never adds up and from scene to scene there is no connection so then the connections that DO happen are unrealistic. Best part of the movie is Jo Koy's monologue in the church. Make sense with him being a stand-up comedian. The various characters never truly get a chance to "act" so who knows if they can act? But with this movie and the horrible pacing, it seems as though they can't act and the performance are stale and just bad. With that being said, ultimately, nobody is funny. The comedy seems like it's on Jo Koy's shoulder to deliver and he doesn't deliver. His brother, Eugene, which is kind of like a sidekick in the movie, doesn't offer any help in the comedic arena either. This is the 2nd large undoing of the movie. Maybe 1 or 2 moments warrant a chuckle? But that's it out of 96 mins. The ending of the movie was horrible. Once again, it just wraps up and it's unrealistic and anti-climatic. Overall, it just seems like budget started to run out and they only had a finite amount of time to work within like the movie had to stay closer to 1 hour 30 as much as possible. This movie definitely seems like it was written longer but had to be cut down for time and budgetary reasons. Forgettable movie. Nothing special at all here and the above mistakes cut the movie down. Maybe wait to see this on regular TV for free.
