There is so so MUCH to say about my 2003 Everest/ Antartica parkas both inspired by Sir Edmund Hillary where I visit Auckland in 2003 to see the Original Exhibition of then 50 years Sir Edmund been part of a British crew who were first to ascent the top of Everest!!! It of cause was amazing and by chance a kind gentleman told me the very first Parka was made by Fairydown from Ventile and could be seen in a Cabernet in Christchurch ! From both these 2003 visits to New Zealand I was able to make two amazing parkas . One being the Everest and the other been the Antarctica ! Both very similar ! So yu got combination of the two styles thru the posts! In 2014 I was very lucky to meet personally in Newcastle at my home HUW LEWIS JONES who jointly wrote two books one with George Lowe who I have personally meet 18 years ago who was part of both teams of Everest in 1953 and Antartica in 1956/58!
