A Rose and A Prayer, my first photobook, is finally out. 110x180mm, 44 pages. Softcover, perfect binding, digital printing on glossy paper. Composed by two photoshoots in Cidade Martins neighborhood and Favela do Coqueiro in Guarulhos (São Paulo, Brazil) featuring my friends @novissimoedgar, @uriasss, @lucasleto and @m4land4, this series is a study of Brazilian iconographies that challenge Western perceptions, which generally ignore the Global South as part of Latin American life. Commissioned by @colorsxstudios last year, A Rose and A Prayer was photographed by @cassiatabatini and Gabriel Cupaiolo. The book accompanied a text written by British curator and writer @cairoc and was edited by @romeu.silveira, published by @zero.editions, with graphic design by @frombrazilwithlovestudio.
