TW: Shooting, Trauma, Murder, Blood ***EDIT: 27 school shootings so far this year*** Still just boiling over what has happened. As a trauma therapist, it always hurts so deeply to hear mental health be trotted out in times like this. Not just because they’re not funding that either, but also it almost never considers anyone else but the shooter. I hope we take care of ourselves, and disconnect if we need to. Somehow. I’m still trying to figure out how to. Because even though I know things will likely not change for a long time, it feels so deeply deeply wrong to “get over” 19 children and 2 teachers dying, among other continued manifestations of trauma that this settler colonial project continues to put forth.
