black beauty, 2020 ill never forget the burnt city of minneapolis in early June of 2020. a few of us went to the city to interview people and see what was going on ourselves. people of all shapes, sizes and colors were scared. "black owned" "poc owned" was spray painted over businesses everywhere. despite a frightening time for the residents of minneapolis, people really wanted to talk with us, and tell us their story - it was cathartic for people to speak and we welcomed any and all opinions in our interviews. we also got to see the city through the eyes of a graffiti street artist, which honestly is one of the best ways to see a city. i have so many photographs and video footage of this time that if they ever see the light of day or not, i am happy to have went and captured during a time that was encouraged to stay home and stay scared. #documentaryphotography #documentaryartist #minneapolis #minneapolisart #minneapolisgraffiti #analoguephotography
