Who loves crow pose? I’ve got you! 😬 Here are a few variations I’ve been playing with that all focus on different elements in balance, stability and awareness. I always find the more I branch out of what I traditionally do, the more I can be aware of the subtleties in my movements overall. Let’s go!
1. Curtsy crow: even if you don’t bring the leg over, hugging one knee in to the chest will eventually prepare us for flying crow. Lean over to the side that’s your base just a tiny bit to make it easier to balance.
2. Forearm/wrist crow: core!!! Press the knees towards the arms and vice versa and hug the navel to your midline to keep you stable and flying.
3. Wrist taps: From your crow or crane pose, slowly tap the toes to your wrists, then clap the feet together. (Yes you read that right 😆😂) and repeat!!! This will teach us stability in our shoulders and core to eventually be able to lift the knees up and hover in a toe tap.
Remember, the idea is to be playful and enjoy where the practice takes you. (For me it was a few face plants while filming 😁)
Last day of #alonvacay and the theme is to be creative!!! I had so much fun doing this challenge with you guys. Thanks to everyone!
