Styling work for @libertylondon: how to decorate a festive mantelpiece. Save for later if you fancy creating your own!
I really loved making this bow garland using Liberty print fabrics. It was so easy to do - just tear a metre of fabric (or a mix of fabrics if you want maximum colour and print) into long strips and tie all the ends together into blowsy, messy bows. You don’t need to be remotely neat! It’s also a great way to use your leftover fabric scraps and it will last much longer than a fresh foliage garland. And I love a nutcracker, so that explains those.
I know I don’t have to point this out because we’re all responsible adults here but obvs never hang a flammable garland like this close to a working fire - this one isn’t in use, which is why I went mad with the low-hanging fabric. It’s designed for an empty fireplace that wouldn’t otherwise be used (could be especially cute and whimsical on an old fireplace in a little girl’s bedroom).
My full fireplace how-to is up on Liberty’s website now.
