Photo by @krystlejwright | Mammatus clouds are some of the most distinctive cloud formations, with bulging shapes protruding from beneath the main cloud. It's often a sight that brings awe, particularly if you're lucky enough to witness these formations at sunset. An abandoned industrial site in a rural part of New Mexico provided an interesting foreground. The challenge for a photographer is to search out different angles, which can be difficult in the American Midwest, where we often intercept storms in the middle of flat fields.
