Will never have the right words to express what the past ten days have been like. My intentions with the burn were raw & real and beyond what I anticipated. I’ve been preparing for Burning Man for the past few months, allowing myself to move through the emotions and understanding of what I was willing to put myself through in order to feel the transformation this place provides. Entering a camp with 170 strangers, being surrounded by 70,000 people and leaving with relationships that will forever feel like home has set my soul on fire. We removed time, judgement, and connection from the outside environments. Instead, we came together to create, connect, explore, and grow together in the most authentic versions of ourselves. The Playa challenged me both physically and mentally. It opened up my heart to love, provided me a space to create, and allowed me to navigate through decisions and emotions I’ve been discovering within myself, while having the support from so many. Although we head back to “what life was before”, I know life will truly never be the same. The past ten days have emotionally changed my life in a positive way. With the intentions of learning to my put my needs and wants first, to embracing love and self discovery, to the art and to letting go - this place will always be home! “Waking Dreams” was special and real this year ✨
