At the start of this year, I jumped back into the music and live events community, specifically focused on marketing and event coordination. As the year is progressing, there are more and more projects that I’d like to shout about. The rest of the year is looking exciting (especially from a personal music making point of view) but for now, here are some incoming bits to get involved with that’ll be great for the soul. -Rough Trade Notts Closed Mic. Tomorrow night at @roughtradenottm myself and @samuelheaton__ are hosting our second ‘closed mic’ night, a showcase of the best talent Notts is producing right now. It’s a full lineup with live music from 7-12 featuring the likes of @katiekeddie and @remycbmusic so if you’re about, show your face. -Sofar Sounds Nottingham. Sofar Sounds has long been a safe haven for me and my people (swipe to see me playing at the Sofar Notts 4th birthday show). Having performed as part of the setup in cities around the UK, I’m literally buzzing to get stuck in to my newest role as MC for the @sofarnottingham team, following on from the great @thando_zulu Our first lineup is special and the show takes place on 26/07 in the city centre. I’ve been a part of the Hustle Collective for a couple years now and am pleased to finally be looking forward to the return of Hockley Hustle Festival this October. For those who haven’t experienced the Hustle before, it’s difficult to explain how good it actually is. Music, art, food, dance, hugs. Sensational vibes. Again, this one is going to be special.
