N E X T 1 2 H O U R S S4E6 “Chill out, what’s that?!” Asks Nyawurh Chuol early Sunday morning from the back of a taxi en route to her call time at Valentino. Having debuted in July for Alaïa, Nyawurh has had to quickly come to terms with the attritional pace of prêt-à-porter compared to couture. Back-to-back-to-back appointments are de rigueur for Paris Fashion Week, and acutely so for Nyawurh whose season is simply meteoric. Grueling as her schedule Sunday is, a show followed by two fittings, Nyawurh is equal to it, taking advantage of such marginal gains as a neck and shoulder massage before makeup to disco napping on the back of a motorbike.
