Last day of the year!!!✨ Wild. Time feels so weird lately. In some ways it feels like the year flew by, in other ways it feels like it’s been the longest one ever! Whatever it was, it was definitely a really significant one for me. I grew a lot! Creative-career wise, I feel like I’m finally finding my footing in things. Been making the transition to doing more commercial work and it’s been really exciting! As a freelance creative, it’s been my best year yet! 💪🏽✨And while that’s all been very amazing, the truth is it was also an incredibly difficult year too! The marathon that has been this Pandemic definitely started to wear down on me in 2021. It’s a very tiring circumstance that we’re all in. And that can get so heavy at times!! So I’ve been sitting with the question, How do we hold on to our light in times when everything feels so dark? 🥲 Still very much figuring that out, but I do think a crucial part of getting through all of this is our ability to celebrate and savor those everyday wins. Whether that’s having a nice meal, a good conversation, a laugh with your family n friends.. these are ultimately the things that will keep ur light shinin💡✨I think we just have to remember to take that time to really sit in the joy we feel as those moments come along. Consciously marinating in it. Because our minds can often be so quick to move on to the next thing! I think we sometimes feel as though joy is just something you wait for and it just happens to you. But what I’m learning is that joy is something you cultivate. It’s a daily practice! Lol low key it’s work!! But it’s also worth it.✨ Big wins are wonderful. But ya know what, as we begin this new year, I’m looking forward to practicing habitual gratitude for all the every day wins and joys. ❤️Eskeddditttt!!!✨
