I ran around the side of the car and she was on the ground.” ⠀ Nelson held his longtime partner, Lili Xu in his arms until the ambulance arrived. He says she had 2 bullet holes in her back. ⠀ “My heart broke as I wailed in pain when the doctor called me near 6 o’clock that she didn’t make it.” ⠀ After our interview, I asked him if he wanted to see the surveillance. He said yes. When I showed it to him, he nearly collapsed at the sound of the gunshots & her screams. ⠀ Nelson was surrounded by their friends today, who don’t believe this was an attempted robbery like Oakland Police report. They say the getaway vehicle, an older model white Lexus sedan was casing the area at the time. ⠀ Nelson’s friends, including Lili’s best friend believe they were targeted because of their race. ⠀ This killing comes after Patrick Fung, was shot at close range and died in front of his girlfriend’s home not far from Little Saigon. ⠀ Note: I am mentally and emotionally exhausted.
