“This photo is from my first dedicated photography trip that I went on exactly 3 years ago. For this I went to the Lofoten islands all the way up to northern Norway before I had to return home to Austria from my 2-month long work visit to Stockholm. 📸 It was my first time in Scandinavia and it hadn't taken long for me to fall in love with it. This trip "sealed the deal" giving me also more confidence in handling my camera & taught me a lot on how to shoot with a tripod - a must have when shooting in the darker days in winter up here. 🌟 💫 From this experience I learnt that it is not necessarily important to have a full frame DSLR to take great photos as I was shooting on my (by then) 8 year old Canon EOS 550D getting everything out of it. 😍 Nevertheless, being surrounded by such breathtaking scenery can be quite overwhelming as well - especially when only having 6h of daylight to use - and so it was a steep learning curve for me to spot the right compositions in short time frames. 📈 This is how I eventually ended up taking that photo passing by the harbour and singling out my subject.
