Organizing my gear a little bit and couldn't resist getting my beloved Precision Basses together for a family photo 🎸♥️. Let's get to know them shall we? From left to right: 1. Fender American Vintage '63 Reissue: This bass is warm, thumpy, and vintage-y. It's got flatwound strings on it that are as old and worn in as possible. Can't go wrong with that! 2. Fender American Professional: My #1 road bass. This thing is a workhorse and has seen a lot of use over the past couple years. I went through a bit of a pickguard obsession recently and changed up the look a couple times, but I finally settled on the gold anodized guard.✨ This bass is also outfitted with @aguilaramp 4P-60 pickups. 3. Fender '73 Precision: My personal fav. I bought this bass from a guy on Craigslist years ago after deciding I needed to have a "vintage" p bass. Sure, it's not quite the same as having a '60s p, but this bass really does it for me. It's heavy as shit and has all kinds of lovely snarl and bite. I used to take this bass out on the road a lot, but I started to get nervous about the endless flights and travel with it, so now it pretty much stays at home and gets used for recording work and local gigs. 4. Fender American Ultra: The newest member of the family, this bass has been a bit of a departure from the norm for me. I haven't had too many basses with active electronics. This one has an active/passive switch so it can do both, and they both sound really good. This thing is built rock solid, and the jazz pickup at the bridge is something I'm really enjoying getting accustomed with. I can't wait to take this bass out on the road and really see what it can do! 5. Fender Classic Vibe Squier: My first ever p bass! Oh the memories. I bought this as a Christmas gift to myself for $350, and proceeded to play it on EVERYTHING for like 4 years. Squiers can be hit or miss, and maybe I just didn't know any better at the time, but I always thought this bass was pretty badass. It's fallen from grace a bit over the years (as you can see it has no strings on it right now), but maybe I should get it up and running again for old time's sake. I'm still so into the fiesta red. @fender ♥️
