Last night I had the extreme pleasure of cheering on my friend @tracelysette as she was presented with the @hrcgreaterny Trailblazer award alongside fellow actor and visionary @kingofbingo. The beautiful moment was punctuated by a touching Intro by @johnnysibilly. I didn't take pictures during the speech because I was recording, and I didn't post the whole video because it's too long and I was crying and screaming, so all I could do is post a clip. To say I'm proud is an understatement because I've envisioned moments like this for my dear friend for very long. Being in entertainment is tougher than it looks and while a lot of people struggle, everyone doesn't struggle in the same ways. Trace has been working hard for many years and it's wonderful to see some recognition because recognition in the beginning is not existent, recognition after years of hard work is rare and seems to become more readily available once someone becomes the most famous name in America but until that moment, it seems like all we can do is focus on the work, the quality of the work and the authenticity hoping to at least make an impact, Trace has definitely made an impact and continues to inspire, Trace I love you so much, thank you so much for your very honest and raw portrayal on camera this year.
