When is it time to replace extension hair? ⏳️ created by @ashtyn.tousledsalon Although the wefts we use are top of the line quality human hair, there comes a time that the hair needs to be replaced! Here’s how we know when it’s time to get new extension hair: > The hair is looking very warm and is not as bright as the guests hair. Over time the extension hair starts to get very dull and warm toned and can’t be corrected after a certain point. This can make the guests hair seem dull/warm and can cause blending issues. > There is hair coming out of the top of the extension weft. This can be caused by not brushing at all which can cause matting OR brushing too aggressive towards the top of the weft. This can cause the extensions to be extremely itchy and eventually your stylist will not be able to stitch the weft. > The hair has shrunk in length significantly and/or the weft has thinned. One perk of wearing extensions is that they can help your natural hair grow longer! Over time, the extension hair shrinks. This means eventually your hair will become longer than the extension hair! Thinning of wefts is normal as well as the extensions age.
