This message is for those who wear braids/protective styles. When I was young & less patient lol I would tug and pull at those build up clumps in an effort to loosen them... and my hair would come out with it 9 times out of 10. Lol now that I know better, I use this power greens hair tea rinse from @sheamoisture to loosen up the build up and it melts right off! Other alternatives if you dont have this are : use oil , oil & water mix, acv rinse, leave in conditioner etc. The point is please don’t try to detangle it by pulling on it or breaking it up with a comb dry!
