The @europeanleagueoffootball announced that three new teams will be added for the 2023 season in Milan, Zurich and Fehérvár, Hungary. What’s the ELF you might ask? Founded by @coach_esume in 2020, the ELF is currently the only professional American Football league in Europe. Currently at 12 teams across the continent, the news shows signs of promise that the league will expand to at least 20 teams in the coming years. At the core of the ELF’s efforts is to pick up where the NFL Europe left off — by not only cultivating NFL talent, but more importantly, spreading a cultural interest in the sport for generations to come.
