It’s classified as a fissure eruption, when lava flows consistently but doesn’t typically result in large explosions, making the volcano safer to access for tourists, locals, and photographers. Witnessing an event of this magnitude in person—watching the planet grow, change, and evolve right in front of your eyes—is truly awe-inspiring.
