If you’re anywhere near Charleston, you really shouldn’t miss ‘Statement Pieces’ at the @thegibbesmuseum (it’s only up for a few more weeks)! It’s one of the best costume shows I have seen in a long time, especially because it aligns with my particular predilection for blending traditional art history with contemporary fashion...AAAND especially because I love all the ingenious mounting ideas, which include but are not limited to: Molly Goddard lit from within, Comme des Garçons padded out from the wall, and Sarah Burton’s McQueen shoes on their own tiny foot-level pedestal. SO much McQueen. 💛
