The Rom Con is a romance book convention celebrating diversity in romance; for those who write it and for those who read it. From the beginning of this journey, my goal has been to amplify the work of romance authors who have been systematically underrepresented in publishing. Our goal is to celebrate the romance genre and to amplify the voices that have been historically underrepresented. The Rom Con aims to be more than an event but a space to facilitate professional and personal connections and to build a thriving romance book community. We are crowdfunding this year because we simply do not have the funds to put on an event this large. Through your contributions, not only will we be able to pay the enormous deposit for the venue, but you will also help us set up a foundation to make this event a success for years to come.
