Oct. 19, 2001: Elements of 3rd Ranger Battalion jump into Objective Rhino to kick off the invasion of Afghanistan, and a war that wouldn’t end for 20 more years. Two Rangers were killed that night in support of the invasion: Spc. John J. Edmunds and Spc. Kristofor T. Stonesifer of 1st Plt, B Co, 3rd Bn, 75th Ranger Regiment. This is a part of American history now, let’s make sure the future generations of the United States remember it.
