The first ‘day stationery’ of the 2022 wedding season is landing on my desk this week - the IDEAL reminder that summer (and sunshine 🌞) is coming on the most gloomy of days.
On that note - what better thing to do on a Monday than post some shameless pics of the stationery from our own wedding day in October.
First of all, I reused some of the artwork from our invitations (designed way back in Jan 2020 🙀) for the Order of Service.
Then we needed a table plan, table names, a menu and place settings - nothing too wacky so that we could let the marquee lining sing for itself (see last pic!)
We named our tables after ski resorts, so I hand cut silhouettes of each of the mountains from an old piste map, and combined a vintage typewriter text (see if you can spot it!) with calligraphy for each of the names.
These mountains worked for the table plan too, with each of our guests’ names hand-lettered on to cards that I pinned to a simple piece of MDF that we already had knocking around (all about the reusing!)
The menu tied it all together, with more blue ink (of course!) and a few small illustrations from the invitation as a nod to the Cornish setting - and with one per person, the menus were our place settings too.
It’s definitely not necessary to have a menu each but for an extra touch it’s pretty ace, don’t cha think?
Swipe to see! 👉
Extra points if you’ve read this far - I love considering day stationery and using to help a wedding all chime together. Thanks for reading my ramble 😎
{I’ve got a few spaces for day stationery over the summer so hit me up if I can help!}
