🌊 Exhibition opening this week 🌊 My audio-textile installation work CROSSINGS is going to be on show at @visual_carlow as part of @carlow_arts_festival in an exhibition called Speech Sounds curated by the lovely @iarlaith_nifheorais The show is running from 09 Jun - 21 Aug 2022 Gallery Opening Hours Tues-Sat 11am-5.30pm & Sun 2-5pm This is my second time showing this work and it feels very special for me to be showing CROSSINGS (which is really so rooted in my Trinidadian family) in Ireland. Hope you get a chance to see the it! - Speech Sounds is an exhibition “working in the legacy of the world-building of Octavia Butler, the artworks in the exhibition reckon with narratives of disability and access, the relationship between humans and ecology, the languages of love and loss, with a world beyond, of living and imagined languages, connecting with ancestors, the material of words, and a dialogue with history”
